WhisprBox Terms of Service

Effective Date: February 1, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the WhisprBox mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), which is operated by StoryLine Labs, Inc. ("StoryLine Labs," "we," "us," or "our"). "WhisprBox" is a product and service operated by StoryLine Labs.

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will provide notice of material changes as required by law. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.

2. Eligibility & Accounts

2.1 Eligibility

The Service is available to individuals only. Business or entity accounts are not supported at this time.

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement, or your parent or legal guardian must consent on your behalf as described below.

2.2 Account Registration

You may register using a phone number or email address. You must provide accurate and complete information, including your real legal name, which may be required internally. You may use a public display name or pseudonym.

Only one account per person is permitted.

2.3 Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

3. Minors & Parental Consent

Minors may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

By permitting a minor to use the Service, the parent or legal guardian:

  • accepts these Terms on the minor's behalf;
  • represents they have authority to do so; and
  • assumes responsibility for the minor's use of the Service, including content, licensing, and payments.

Any payments owed to a minor will be made to the parent or legal guardian.

4. User Content and Ownership

4.1 User Content

The Service allows users to submit, upload, record, generate, publish, and share audio, video, text, images, photos, stories, and other content, including content created using tools provided through the Service ("User Content"). User Content includes photos or images of yourself or others, such as profile images or reference images used to create or enhance audiovisual content.

4.2 Ownership

As between you and StoryLine Labs, you retain ownership of your User Content, including stories, recordings, photos, and videos you create or submit through the Service.

StoryLine Labs does not claim ownership of your User Content. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of your User Content to StoryLine Labs.

4.3 Responsibility for User Content

You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent and warrant that you have obtained all necessary rights, permissions, and consents to submit and use your User Content, including any photos or recordings of yourself or others, in connection with the Service.

5. License Grant to StoryLine Labs

By submitting or making User Content available through the Service, you grant StoryLine Labs a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use your User Content in connection with operating, improving, and promoting the Service.

This license includes the right to:

  • host, store, reproduce, distribute, and stream User Content;
  • publicly perform and display User Content;
  • promote User Content on and off the Service, including on third-party platforms;
  • monetize User Content through subscriptions, advertising, or other Service features;
  • create technical or editorial derivatives (e.g., formatting, clipping, previews, captions);
  • include User Content in feeds, collections, compilations, and anthologies; and
  • sublicense these rights to service providers and partners as reasonably necessary.

This license survives account termination or content removal to the extent necessary for operation, promotion, monetization, archival, legal, or backup purposes.

6. Creator Use of Content

You may download, copy, and share your User Content.

You may use your User Content for non-commercial promotional purposes, including sharing on social media, personal websites, or portfolios, provided such use does not imply StoryLine Labs' endorsement and complies with applicable branding or attribution requirements.

Commercial reuse of User Content outside the Service (including resale, sublicensing, or use in paid advertising or third-party commercial products) requires StoryLine Labs' prior permission or participation in an applicable paid creator tier, if offered.

7. Content Visibility and Privacy Controls

The Service may allow you to designate User Content as public or private.

Public content may be visible to other users or the public. Private content is not publicly visible to other users; however, private content may still be stored, processed, analyzed, and reviewed by StoryLine Labs as necessary to operate the Service, including for moderation, safety, legal compliance, analytics, and system maintenance.

Designating content as private does not make it confidential. StoryLine Labs does not guarantee that private content will not be accessed or disclosed where required by law or to enforce these Terms.

8. Monetization & Creator Programs

Participation in monetization features is opt-in and subject to eligibility requirements determined by StoryLine Labs.

Monetization is offered as a program, not a right. StoryLine Labs may exclude content or creators from monetization, or modify, suspend, or terminate monetization programs at any time.

If monetized content is suspended, StoryLine Labs may also remove such content.

9. Revenue Sharing & Payments

9.1 Revenue

Revenue eligible for sharing includes subscription and advertising revenue received by StoryLine Labs, net of third-party fees (including app store and payment processing fees).

9.2 Allocation

StoryLine Labs may allocate up to 40% of eligible net revenue to creators participating in monetization programs.

Revenue is allocated based on relative engagement, including viewing or listening minutes, as reasonably determined by StoryLine Labs. Compilations and anthologies are included in the revenue pool, with allocations determined in StoryLine Labs' reasonable discretion.

9.3 Payments

Payments are calculated and distributed on a semi-annual basis, subject to a minimum payout threshold of $20.

Payments are treated as royalties. StoryLine Labs may withhold taxes or report payments as required by law. Creators are responsible for all applicable taxes.

StoryLine Labs makes no guarantees regarding revenue amounts.

10. Content Standards & Prohibited Content

You agree not to submit content that:

  • infringes intellectual property or other rights;
  • includes third-party content without permission;
  • records or depicts individuals without consent where legally required;
  • is illegal, exploitative, or abusive;
  • contains anonymous accusations or names private individuals without consent.

Fictional or inspired-by stories are permitted. "Confessions" and similar content are treated as personal narratives and are not verified as fact.

11. Moderation & Enforcement

StoryLine Labs may remove content, suspend monetization, or terminate accounts at its sole discretion. StoryLine Labs has no obligation to host, distribute, or monetize any content.

StoryLine Labs may use automated and human moderation systems. An appeals process may be available but is not guaranteed.

12. Editing, Promotion & Platform Use

StoryLine Labs may edit User Content for formatting, clarity, safety, or distribution.

StoryLine Labs may use excerpts of User Content for marketing and promotional purposes and may promote content across platforms.

13. AI Systems Disclosure

StoryLine Labs may use automated and artificial intelligence systems to analyze, transform, generate, moderate, and distribute User Content.

14. Disclaimers

User Content is provided by third-party creators. StoryLine Labs does not verify accuracy or endorse User Content. Content is provided for entertainment purposes only.

15. Limitation of Liability & Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StoryLine Labs shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless StoryLine Labs from claims arising out of your User Content or use of the Service.

16. Termination

StoryLine Labs may terminate or suspend your account at any time. Licenses granted to StoryLine Labs survive termination. Earned but unpaid revenue survives termination subject to thresholds and compliance.

17. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware.

Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration. You waive the right to participate in class actions, to the extent permitted by law.

18. Miscellaneous

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and StoryLine Labs. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
